I am a Pilates clinician with a passion for movement. I approach Pilates from a place of intelligent exercise and unfolding physical potential. To me, Pilates should be engaging, challenging, relevant and enjoyable. Creativity in health is key and I aim to make positive changes to people’s lives through creative and intelligent exercise.
The studio is co-located with Form Physiotherapy, a superb team of leading physiotherapists and a collaboration that I whole-heartedly endorse, generating maximum benefit for clients.
Together we have cultivated a community of movers, thinkers and generally great people.
I came to Pilates and yoga through a career in dance. I trained in classical ballet and contemporary dance at university, followed by postgraduate studies in choreography at the Victorian College of the Arts. I danced with Par B.L.eux, a French-Canadian company in Montreal, and was later fortunate to work with some great talents including Prue Lang, Brian Lucas, Rosalind Crisp, Caroline Salem, Helen Herbertson and Don Asker. I now sit on the board for the Australian Dance Council (Ausdance SA) and have an active presence in the Australian dance community. Dancing allowed me travel, explore, experiment and work hard. I bring what I have learnt to my Pilates practice and continue to work hard, now promoting excellence in others’ bodies.
I have taught Pilates, yoga and movement for over 10 years. My keen interest in clinical reasoning, evidence-based exercise prescription, chronic pain, and athletic performance has allowed me to work with some extraordinary people and utilise my skills in creative ways.
