Toby Moen

Senior Physiotherapist

Bachelor of Physiotherapy,
University of South Australia
Master of Musculoskeletal & Sports Physiotherapy,
University of South Australia

I am a physiotherapist with a passion for assisting people to achieve optimal health outcomes. I practice from a person focussed and creative perspective to offer solutions that make a real difference.

Physiotherapy to me is exciting and invigorating. I relish the opportunity to unravel a puzzle and make sense of things which can be confusing. It is then rewarding to help someone gain a better understanding of their problem, and through this realise a pathway to recovery. When a person gets better and does not have to come back; then I have done my job well. That to me is physiotherapy.

My qualifications have provided me with advanced training and experience in the areas of musculoskeletal, chronic pain and sports physiotherapy. This enables me to work with a diverse group of people. My clinical and life experiences have equipped me to work at the highest level with athletes in the areas of rock climbing, running, cycling, throwing sports (baseball, softball, cricket) and netball. I regularly work with people seeking assistance for the management of conditions such as chronic musculoskeletal pain, neuropathic pain, complex regional pain syndrome and fibromyalgia.

I teach at the University of South Australia as a clinical educator for final year physiotherapy students. I previously lectured in the area of Pain Sciences. I also collaboratively conduct training courses for physiotherapists, which present advanced skills in the area of running injuries and performance for the Australian Physiotherapy Association.
